How do I go about renting space at Camp Mack?
Please contact the Guest Services Coordinator with as much of the following information that you have:
- The name of your group
- How many people you are expecting
- Which dates you are interested in or open to
- What type of lodging or space(s) you are looking for
- Whether you are interested in having meals with our food service or bringing in your own
- The potential timeframe of your event
- Any budget needs
- Whether you may be interested in having any programming (boating, swimming, challenge course, etc. if it’s available)
- Your contact information
The Guest Services Coordinator will then follow up with an email or phone call to discuss next steps to confirm details, set up a contract, and gather an initial non-refundable deposit that holds your date and space(s) but goes towards your total bill.
What items are included in a rental? What should I bring?
Most groups choose to bring their own bedding. However, you may also request this in advance through the Guest Services Coordinator for a fee. The linen sets include a fitted sheet, top sheet, blanket, pillow, pillowcase, towel, and washcloth, and note whether you need a twin or full set. If there are two people using a full bed, please note that, as well. For an additional small fee, you can get an extra partial set for the second person. Hand soap and paper towels are provided in the bathrooms, along with a bathmat to put on the floor as you exit the shower, but you will need to bring your own bath towel or washcloth if you do not rent a set. You should also bring toiletries with you (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, contact solution, etc.).
I would like to hang some things in or on a building. How should I go about doing that?
Camp Mack knows that hanging things up can be an important part of the program you’re putting on. However, we want to preserve our walls as much as we can to be in good shape for years to come and to look nice group after group. Please do not use anything that will leave a hole in the wall. We recommend using sticky tack, painters tape, Command strips, and other items that are sticky but easy to remove. If you have any questions about what you can use on which surfaces, please contact the Guest Services Coordinator or the office.
If I am bringing a group to Camp Mack, how soon does information need to be turned in?
- Please provide a count of how many people will be attending your event (further specific counts may be needed and coordinated with the Guest Services Coordinator, like for age groups or those who are participating in specific events while onsite) 2–3 weeks in advance.
- Please also provide any dietary restrictions and allergies, setup needs, and your schedule 2–3 weeks in advance and coordinate other details with the Guest Services Coordinator.
If I am wanting to bring a group to Camp Mack, what can my arrival and departure times be?
Coordinate your arrival and departure times with the Guest Services Coordinator. He/she will work with you to set those based on when other groups already on the calendar are set to arrive and depart. You likely will be able to arrive and depart when it works best for you, but please communicate those in advance so Camp knows when to have your buildings ready for you.
Will there be other groups onsite while I’m at Camp Mack?
- There may be other groups onsite depending on what has been worked out with the Guest Services Coordinator in reference to the Camp calendar. You will have areas reserved for you and your group, so request what you need in advance. Camp Mack is a large space with enough room for many.
- Please respect other groups’ areas and be mindful of informational signs. Your welcome letter posted in your areas will have a line describing what other groups are onsite and likely where they are staying, as well. If you have questions about what spaces you may use, please contact the Guest Services Coordinator. Much of these details should be communicated ahead of time, but if you do have questions, please reach out.
