Clothing Guidelines
Camp clothing should be functional, weather-appropriate, and ready for outdoor activities. Bring layers to prepare for both hot, humid days and cool, rainy weather. Clothing can help prevent sunburn, insect bites, and poison ivy. For the challenge course, closed-toe shoes are required and clothing should cover areas where harnesses may rub. At the waterfront, swimsuits should provide secure coverage for all activities. To prevent chafing from lifejackets, sunburn, and skin irritation, functional swimwear, and protective layers are recommended.
Camp reserves the right to request that a camper wear a shirt over a swimsuit if it is considered inappropriate.
What to Leave at Home
To help maintain a safe, respectful, and distraction-free environment, please leave the following items at home. Any prohibited items will be held and returned to the camper at the end of the week.
Cameras
To protect the privacy of all campers, only film cameras may be brought to camp. Digital cameras and devices capable of instant photo sharing should be left at home.
Cell Phones & Electronics
We understand parents’ desire to stay in touch with their children, but camp is designed to help campers step away from constant communication and focus on faith, community, and nature. For this reason, we ask that all cell phones, tablets, and laptops remain at home.
