Camp Mack seeks new Excutive Director

Summary

Camp Alexander Mack seeks an accomplished relational leader, grounded in Christian faith to serve as their next Executive Director. This is a full-time, year round position.


Camp Alexander Mack is a Christian Camp, Retreat and Conference Center located on 200+ acres on the eastern shore of Lake Waubee in Northern Indiana. The facility is a ministry of the Indiana Camp Board and affiliated with the Northern Indiana and South/Central Indiana districts of the Church of the Brethren. Since its beginnings in 1925 the camp has served as a place of holy sanctuary, leadership development and faith formation for the children, youth and adults.

The Opportunity

This leader will serve as the chief executive of Camp Mack, providing vision, direction, and stewardship for all aspects of the organization. They will be equally comfortable engaging with campers and congregations, collaborating with board members, developing staff, managing budgets, overseeing facilities, and representing the ministry at large.

Qualifications

● Executive, senior leadership, or comparable management experience in a camp, retreat center, nonprofit, ministry, educational institution, or mission-driven organization.
● Be at least 25 years of age with a bachelor’s degree required; advanced education, certifications, or relevant professional credentials are valued.
● Experience working with boards and volunteer leadership structures.
● Background in fundraising, donor development, or resource stewardship.
● Experience leading staff teams and managing organizational culture.
● Knowledge of camping, retreat, outdoor ministry, hospitality, or faith-based programming.
● Grounded and growing in Christian faith, embracing and understanding Church of the Brethren values and culture.
● Gifted in relating to persons of diverse backgrounds
● Exhibit appropriate emotional maturity and stability.

 

Compensation and Benefits

● Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000
● Health Care: $5,000
● Pension: 7% of salary
● Professional Growth: $4,000
● Meals when camp is serving guests
● Housing: 3 bedroom apartment available for temporary or permanent housing during
employment
