Q: How do I schedule a retreat?

Q: What happens if I need to cancel a retreat?

Q: What happens if my child is hurt or sick?
A: Parents or guardians will be called in the event of serious illness or injury. If the child needs immediate attention and a parent or guardian cannot be reached, the signed health form including insurance information will go with the camper to the doctor or hospital as we continue to try reaching the parent or guardian.

Q: What if my child cannot come to camp at the date we registered for?
A: You can either cancel or change to another camp date for the child’s age. If you cancel more than 30 days prior to camp you will receive a full refund minus the $75 deposit. If you cancel within 30 days of camp, you will receive one half the camp fee minus the $75 deposit. If a child does not arrive for camp, all registrations fees are forfeited.

Q: Who are the Brethren?

Q: What about the food service?
A: A buffet line with main entrée, vegetarian option, and a variety of side dishes and or salad bar is available for retreat guests in a central dining room with tables marked for each guest group.

Q: Can we bring pets?
A: Pets are not allowed at camp for the comfort and peace of mind of all of our guests. Service Animals are allowed at camp.

Q: What is the alcohol and smoking policy?
A: We do not allow alcohol on the grounds. We ask that no smoking be done in the buildings or in the presence of children. During our summer camping time for children (June 5 to August 20) the Indiana State Board of Health requires no smoking in areas occupied by children.

Q: How do I settle up after my retreat?
A: We ask you to settle your account while you are here with us unless prior arrangements have been made.

Q: Can I have my wedding at Camp Mack?
A: We have many weddings at Camp Mack in a variety of settings. We can also provide your reception. Please call us at 574.658.4831or Click Here to make the arrangements.

Q: Can we go boating or swimming?
A: We do offer boating and canoeing while a Camp Mack lifeguard is on duty. Please check with the office while you are here. Everyone must wear fastened life jackets while boating and canoeing. Waterfront activities are in effect only during daylight hours. We offer swimming while a Camp Mack lifeguard is on duty during the summer camping season (see the office for those scheduled times when scheduling your retreat).

Q: Do we bring our own linens?
A: You may rent our linen sets which include pillow, sheets, blanket, towel and washcloth for a fee giving us the approximate number you will need 2 weeks in advance. You may also bring your own.

Q: How do I register for a Camp Mack sponsored event?
A: You may register online using the Register Online button or by phone at 574-658-4831. Registration forms may also be printed off and mailed in.

Q: Do you have AV and Recreational equipment?
A: We have PA’s, TV, VCR/DVD players, whiteboards, flipcharts, CD/Tape player that can be scheduled prior to your arrival. We also have video projectors available for a fee. We have a variety of recreational equipment. The above items are for use at no charge. We attempt to meet all requests, but last minute requests may not be able to be met.

Q: Can we have a baptism at Camp Mack?
A: We have many congregations that worship here and baptize in the lake. We also have churches that just come here for a baptism. You may schedule a baptism by Contacting Us Here.

Q: What is the policy on candles?
A: Candles can be used with the following restrictions. Candles burning in a room must be attended at all times. Candles must be in a globe and on a plate to prevent tipping and wax dripping. There may be a fee charged for wax cleanup.

Q: Who may use the camp?
A: The facilities of Camp Mack are designed for groups. The groups using Camp Mack need to fit into our Mission Statement.

Q: Do you have a gift shoppe?
A: Yes, we have a variety of clothing and souvenirs in our gift shoppe which is located in the John Kline Welcome Center. We also sell a book about the mural history of the Church of the Brethren and a children’s book about the history of Camp Mack.
